UNTAME STEAM Festival 2022 is back at Science Center Singapore. The immersive blended learning festival will have many activities until December 11. What should visitors be aware of? There is a lot of learning, sensory activities and innovative experiences spread over three months! From toddlers to adults, UNTAME 2022 will have something for everyone.
There are four main components to UNTAME: UNTAME STEAM Festival, UNTAME Online, UNTAME Outreach, and UNTAME Onsite. Keep reading to know more.
UNTAME 2022: 7 highlights to see at the Singapore Science Center
1. STEAM Play Yard (October 4-9)
The UNTAME STEAM festival is a unique event that showcases approaches to teaching and learning in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. Children can look forward to educational and sensory experiences between October 4-9 at the Singapore Science Center.

Parents can get their hands dirty building a mini city, launching their rocket, trying out 3D printing, and more! A highlight is the stand where the little ones can make small key chains with 3D pens and make a 3D space suit.
2. Sensory theater: Mars do this? (October 4 to 9)
STEAM Festival tickets include an engaging performance backed by Artground. Follow the journey of Jo, an aspiring astronaut. With the help of her two best friends, Strelka and Ham, she travels through outer space to get to Mars and repair the rover.
3. Toddler Zone (October 4-9)
The little ones are remembered in the Children’s Zone where they can explore different stations, discover emotions and participate in STEAM activities related to outer space and cyberspace.
4. Neighborhood of Tomorrow by The Artground & Batholomew Ting (October 4-9)
What you won’t miss is the big centerpiece at the STEAM Play Yard, seeing the Merlion flicker, and a meaningful community project involving over 1000 kids in collaboration with The Artground.
5. UNTAME Online (October 1 to December 11)
Go online for a free gamified platform designed for UNTAME. Players will participate in various missions, videos, mini-games, online and offline quests to bring virtual space into real life. Stand up to win attractive prizes!
6. Disclosure UNTAME
UNTAME Outreach is open to both schools and public participants, there will be LOCI (Living, Outer, Cyber and Inner) kits with DIY STEM activities for sale. Cool kits include Drone Race: Code and build a ring of light that changes color when a drone flies, Gyropaint using spinning gear, Stomp Rocket building a rocket launcher, Code-a-Pet, and an Algae to the Rescue card game.
Another highlight would also be an exchange from Dr. Toh Tai Chong, a marine biologist and co-founder of Our Singapore Reefs on marine conservation. He will share fascinating insights about our surrounding waters and conservation efforts. Participants will also be able to approach the marine specimens on November 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
7. UNTAME Onsite & After Dark (December 2-11)
Celebrate STEM in a multidimensional experience with UNTAME Onsite. Experience the Singapore Science Center as METANU. Complete missions, test your accuracy on the shooting range, enter The Last Passage to unlock the portal back to reality. And end your session with unique beer flavors from Fountain Microbrewery.
