Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Museum of the Future is connecting with people around the world through its online store, which not only offers memorabilia inspired by the museum’s design and exhibits, but also provides a glimpse into its rich experiences.
Consisting of six unique collections, the new store represents a window for visitors to remember their experience in the form of delicious souvenirs that will perpetuate their visit in their memory.
The store also provides a unique opportunity for those who have not yet visited the museum. It gives people an idea of what to expect from the exhibits, with innovative and artistically designed products that reflect the spirit of the museum and its values.
Products include creations from Emirati talent as well as domestic small and medium-sized businesses, including clothing made from recycled materials, souvenirs, as well as future-inspired educational and entertainment games.
Locally inspired products include those in the Calligraphy Collection. They are beautifully decorated with Arabic calligraphy (the cursive script also known as thuluth is the same one that wraps the building) inspired by quotes from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, that embodies the spirit of the museum and its mission.
The store provides visitors with the opportunity to find souvenirs to relive their inspiring museum experience. Among the collections are memorabilia related to the museum’s unique design and character, representing elements such as the building’s recognizable stainless steel façade. These include travel mugs, markers, notepads, and pens, among other options to choose from.
The museum’s lavish Arabic calligraphy and the building’s use of 3D printing technology in the construction process are among the features that inspired the gifts for the store. Exhibits including OSS Hope, Heal Institute and Al Waha have inspired beautiful yet functional memorabilia.
Products within the OSS Hope Collection include key chains, which act as a constant reminder of the exhibit’s depiction of humanity’s home in space and the potential for future space travel. The Heal Institute collection comprises fascinating prints printed on handbags, purses, wallets and scarves, for everyday use.
There are also A3 prints that allow people to see a beautiful digital recreation of the flora, which reproduces the museum’s digital rainforest. Reflecting the earthy tones of Al Waha, the collection includes cream colored tea and coffee sets made to fit perfectly into a relaxing environment. There are also giveaways related to the Future Heroes exhibit, which is dedicated to kids ages 3-10. Finally, there are also products inspired by the museum’s Tomorrow Today exhibition, related to areas such as health, education, smart cities, energy and transportation.
