As an artist, I have an emoji for this design: 🤮
FatShady, 21 hours agowell i really dont want to live if those are going to be the only 2 optionsjust guessing what the transformation will be like. did you use nokia 3310 when it was first released? a phone with an internal antenna was the coolest innovation in those days. we couldn’t imagine any of the features of today’s smartphones like color touch screen, camera, speaker, music/video player, mobile apps, 3D graphics, etc. Now we start to see folding designs. Who knows what form factors and features we’ll be using on a regular basis 20 years from now, but I’m sure none will look like the phones today.
Yalim, 22 hours ago20 years ago, Nokia led the feature phone market.I doubt phones will be replaced by portable or rollable devices by 2040. The bewildered unborn will stare and laugh at the way we use our so-called smartphones, because phones won’t exist by then. Future generations will think we are extremely stupid when they watch documentaries or old movies and see how we hold our phones while driving or crossing the road, because it has simply been proven to be dangerous.
My estimate is that a phone will be integrated into some other technology, just like a camera has become an integral part of a phone now. That future technology will become an organically integral part of the human body. I don’t think future generations will accept carrying a brick that they have to constantly update and load all the time, just like our generation no longer carries pen and paper with them.
I doubt that future generations will communicate verbally, because verbal communication is prone to errors and misunderstandings. My neighbors don’t talk to each other for example. There will be no need or reason to make phone calls, just like no one sends paper letters nowadays. Telephones, in their current form, will gradually disappear, just as pen and paper are fast disappearing in Sweden.
So Daniel Arsham, game over!
Anonymous, 20 hours agoLook at the green color of the Redmi note 8 pro. It is amazing and one of the most beautiful I have… moreThat and the silky smooth green of the Mi Note 10 Pro are two of my favorites.
blah blah blah and in the end it’s just another case of a phone
Who in their right mind will still be wearing it 20 years later?
Why are people so obsessed with appearance? It is a disease!
Give me Xiaomi 13, 12T/pro it sucks…
As much as I don’t like big phones or weird backs, this is a cool idea, even if I’m not a fan of the artwork.
It’s a personal taste… maybe it looks beautiful to some, but for me I’d rather have another piece of art than that… or a custom name

20 years ago, Nokia led the market with feature phones. Smartphones had just been released without any smart features except for email and wap browsers. No phones had cameras! Think about what happened to those phones. Technology is evolving even faster than it was in the 2000s, so think about what will happen to this phone in 2040! maybe all phones will be replaced by rollables or wearables.
EskeRahn, 23 hours ago“Daniel Arsham said that in 20 years the people who own this phone will be using it as sculpture… moreAnd in 2 years the battery will be toast. If not, the CPU surely will be. There’s no way this is going to last 10 years, let alone 20.
EskeRahn, 23 hours ago“Daniel Arsham said that in 20 years the people who own this phone will be using it as sculpture… moreYou are wrong too. It’ll be in a rusty box in someone’s garage, or in a dumpster somewhere.
“Daniel Arsham said that in 20 years people who have this phone will use it as a sculptural object”
You are wrong… In twenty years this (except perhaps a few specimens) will be reduced to e-waste, which will hopefully be recycled…
It’s a nice gesture, but Xiaomi should fix its MIUI for better selling I say.
The color of the charger, they should make a phone with that color. It looks incredible
AtomicMarrow147, Nov 23, 2022The price of the phone is justified👍.
Still cheaper than other brands, even for a limited edition, and the phone itself is good value for money.
