Crystal Onion: A Knives Out Mystery Director Rian Johnson took a second to celebrate his film’s Academy Award nomination Tuesday. The Netflix crime novel got the nod for Best Adapted Screenplay. Viewers everywhere loved seeing Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc hanging around that strange mansion. Another big reveal was Janelle Monae’s cunning turn as Andi in the picture. But, the most controversial part of glass onion it would have to be the wild narrative structure that made many fans go crazy. Yes, the movie actually has a few tricks up its sleeve and that makes the screenplay award an entirely understandable choice. Some may have been confused, but those who figured it out were amused. When can fans expect Knives Out 3?
knives out 3 It’s probably going to take a second. They began to tell a story. Comicbook.com previously spoke with producer Ram Bergman about trying to figure out glass onion. That took a while, but the prospects for a third Benoit Blanc mystery are very good. Netflix is very pleased with the results of the sequel. So, go full steam ahead to the next entrance.
“First, [Johnson] He had the idea for years in his head, but he only put pen to paper at the end of January and by the end of October we were shooting it, which is super fast,” Bergman said in our interview. This movie, it really didn’t. I have an idea. He just stopped thinking and we were… From the time he actually started writing it, nine months later, a year later, we were shooting. So the good thing is that he is very motivated to go make the next one as quickly as possible. But, you know, we’ll see how fast it is, but this is going to be challenging. It will be a bigger challenge. So we’ll see how long it’s going to take.”
